This inspirational bayan lays great emphasis on the fact that acquiring knowledge and exerting effort in the pursuit of knowledge is of paramount importance for all Muslims irrespective of their gender. Seeking knowledge is a religious duty binding upon every Muslim man and woman. Like her male counterpart, each woman is under a moral and religious obligation to acquire knowledge, develop her intellect, broaden her outlook, cultivate her talents and then utilise her potential to the benefit of her soul and community.

This informative talk further sheds light on the history of Islam which is replete with examples of exemplary women scholars who were knowledge seekers and attained distinguished positions in the fields of hadith sciences, the science of interpretation, jurisprudence, Tafsir and Islamic law. Prominent amongst them was Hazrat Aisha- a hadith-narrator, a great scholar, an intellectual, an enlightened thinker, a jurist of great standing and a source of inspiration and role model for Muslim women. The bayan serves as an orientation for the Takhassus Fil Fiqh Program at Al-Aaizah.
