Following the tradition of our pious predecessors, the event held on 14 March 2020, Saturday, was to celebrate the completion Sahih Al-Bukhari & of six years of the advanced islamic study by the Alimahs of the graduating class. This blessed event marked the beginning of their life as newly qualified individuals ready to serve the deen of Allah SWT by being religious guides for women in the community.
The event began with a Bayaan on a brief introduction of the Sahih Al- Bukhari, the most authentic books after the Qur’an. Mohammad Al-Bukhari RA has started Sahih Al-Bukhari with the chapters on imaan and ended it with the chapters of Tauheed, which is actually a guideline for us as humans, that a person’s life starts with imaan and should end  with tauheed when his life ends.
After recitation of the last hadith of Sahih Al-Bukhari, the speaker emphasized more on how these words, the two expressions, سبحان الله وبحمده سبحان الله العظيم are very light on the tongue of a Muslim but heavy on the scales of deeds which would be set up on the day of Qiyamah, for the purpose of weighing the deeds. These are easy tasbeehaat but have great weight. Continuous dhikr of these words bestow financial ease to the reciter and Allah gives him taufeeq to perform good deeds.
By reading these words a person glorifies and praises Allah with every attribute
of perfection and greatness to which He is entitled. Simultaneously, the person declares that Allah is absolutely free of any deficiencies of any nature and that He is totally free of any evil or bad attribute. He is absolutely pure and perfect.
The reason for concluding Sahih Al-Bukhari with the following Hadith is because Imam Bukhari indicatively warns us against disobedience to Allah in deeds and in speech. Since, our speech is often filled with various forms of evil and bad words we are reminded to be cautious and use the tongue for our communication as well as for zikr.
The speaker ended the Bayaan by shedding some light on the terminologies of Arabic language and how it plays a role in the narration of Ahadith, and concluded the event with a beautiful and heartfelt dua.
