About the speaker:
Shaykh Azhar Iqbal DB was born and raised in Karachi and traveled to the United States for his undergraduate studies. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his graduate studies in Economics at New York University. Formally authorized by Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmed DB in the science of Islamic Spirituality (Tasawwuf) in 2003, Shaykh Azhar also completed the 8-year Alim course at the school located on his Shaykh’s sanctuary. He has established many Islamic institutes for men and women in Karachi, authored several books on islamic spirituality, and also assists seekers on the path of Tasawwuf.
