Allah SWT has granted a nafs to every person, that creates within him/her certain desires. The desires may be good or evil and depending on these desires, every person makes decisions regarding his/her own actions. This age of digital communication and social media has made it difficult for people to control their nafs and it is easy to go astray and lose track of the road that leads to Allah’s love and Jannah. Desires slowly take over lives and people are led astray. What are the ways of purification of the nafs and what efforts can we make to tame desires should be an important focus of our lives.
